alright so this was how i spent my christmas eve that comes once a year.. think abt it its as rare as say... 3rd of august... yes its an ordinary day.. but they both come once a year... okay so its different..

woke up went meet egg man at somerset.. posted my christmas cards.. hope its not too late.. wait i think its too late lar.. but can't help it, just came back from camp, start scrambling and cracking my head on what to write. went heereen [however u spell it] walk walk. bought 250+ dollars of clothes.. dammit, city has become a money eating machine.. can't stand it. maybe i've lost touch, very long nv go.

after that come home already 4+. all the victorians seem to be congregating at pasir ris MRT. going to some something valley church for some musical.. hell lot of victorians. hm.. that only could only spell trouble. can already imagine them bringing down the entire church after the 'musical' with a madley of victorian cheers. haha that really rocks.. nothing beats a good dose of the victorian spirit - pure ecstacy.

after that waited for dinner. crazy siah 38 bucks per head. buffet at sakura. sharks fins in soup, in chawan mushi, in dumplings. durian puff with more durian than puff. lobsters, fresh oysters and sashimi salmon belly. siao eat until damn full. sheesh.. crazy place.. not for asians with small stomaches...

finally.. the camp that dexter predicted to be a total screw up is finally over.. and more than that, it wasn't a screw up. whaha.. they chose the wrong person to be the camp chief.. i mean they expect it to screw up with me heading it? they must be jokin..

7.30 and the duty patrol has not arrived to build the flagpole. food ic, treasurer, patrol ic for chi cheong fun, came to camp thinking it was a costume party!! he came in an EGG SUIT.. lol.. super hilarious when he made his appearance.. alright so to break all the monotony of camps.. in this camp, the patrols were named after dim sum names, and they had to be in a dialect. there was chi cheong fun, ha gao, luo mai kai and siew mai. my canto and hokkien wasn't proficient enough to think of any others. wilbeng said he wasn't impressed, but i mean in the first place it wasn't supposed to impress him. in the end i was called a restaurant manager instead of camp chief.. as i said i had lost my name.. i'm either refered to as tl, camp chief or restaurant manager.. next was gadget comp. nothing much.. just some time where the admin and stores could be sorted out.. and getting especially the kitchen ready for lunch. scramble scramble

must say that other than the camp chief, the food ic and treasurer which happens to be the same person was under hell lot of stress... j-wei was like mumbling uncontrollably throughout the entire camp.. wait isn't that a normalcy.. no wait.. it became more serious. kayaking polo was serious fun... but time constraint due to the threatening sky made play time short.. kayaking was especially fun.. when all that quick turning and side stepping skills come into play.. and not forgetting that brute speed. one good thing about being the camp chief.. you dun have to wash anything haha... which is really bad of me.. but sometimes can't help it.. really got things to do.. night games.. nocturnal manhunt.. had overwhelming response.. everyone really enjoyed it.. running around, hiding, the suspense.. in the end all the teams ganged up.. and took to hunting ME down.. coz everyone had been caught except the elusive me =).. in the end i was damn sian of hiding and tired of runnning.. i mean 20 over ppl against me.. in the end everyone gangbanged me.. got thrown on the floor and my scarf stashed away.. and that was the sorry end of me.. by then the game was called off.. by me.. coz i was too bored staying in jail. dammit while the other cmapers get to sleep at 12.30.. we the plc have still to attend plc, and listen to the AL's boring pep talk. aniwae so yeah.. went to bed at 2.30 almost every night.. and woke up like 6 every morning. every night completely knocked out.

next morning woke up.. had breakfast.. cycling ex.. took some time to get every single one their bikes.. reached ECP.. and whahah that's where my sadistic games came into play... made all of them suffer in push up position.. after the games.. they all went for an hours' ride before heading back school.. after that there was the amazing race.. made us run all around the place... the checkpoint at national stadium was damn cool lar.. there should have more sinister looking places as checkpoints especially at night.. end point was labrador park.. the park was newly renovated and was really a nice place to stay for the night after a tiring day..

woke up striked the temporary camp, packed everything really quickly. made our way out of labrador, took at bus to habour front then took the feeder bus into sentosa.. took a third bus into siloso beach.. was really early in the morning so not many ppl. played volleyball, dodgeball and soccer.. really fun since there was a soccer pitch set up ready for us, coz there was some community day the day b4.. so ya. haha convinced wilbeng into allowing me to give the campers 3 more hours in sentosa... which was favoured by them.. like duh.. only wilbeng thought it was a waste of time.. lifeless.. what can i say. took the coach back to school.. took only 20 mins!! gave us more time to shift the kitchen into the canteen.. the campers were really great.. the kitchen was shifted, the bikes were returned, personal admin was done. dinenr was taken..

the last day of camp nothing really much happened.. PT, debate and then the clean up. debrief, flagbreak and then the final PLC for the camp.. and its done.. finished. yAY!

alright this should have been before the previous post by chronological order.

okay so i have to say this.. the youth camp just RAWKS.. best thing this year.. the high point had to be the worhip.. the mass dance.. just so edifying and uplifting. alright so now let me try to run through the entire camp.. and do a little commentary on it.

marcus, nicholas, john and me decided to stay over on sunday night.. so yar i made my way at 8.30 pm from pasir ris to eunos and then to church. super fun, we then decided at 10 to go play lan.. went to katong one of the cyber cafes. played our way to 1.30 or 2.00. only reason we stopped was cause marcus got too bored of playing, good thing or else we could have easily stayed till 4am. okay so we left at supper at 7 eleven and headed back to church. played bit of cards listened to my ipod then went to slp, damn tired. next morning, suddenly some monster walked into our room, switched on the lights and started making a hell lot of noise. some morning call thanks to gerald, and john who reacted by bolting out of bed. reason for waking.. breakfast at the coffeshop, honestly we had rather had sleep for breakfast.

so it was day 1 of camp. cheryl & mark appeared in the morning, lnette and michelle the first few campers to appear too.. the guys got changed, signed in and went into the main building and into the band area. hence, starting john's obsession throughout the camp to learn new stuff. drums from gerald, guitar from jean, card tricks from royston, tooth pick tricks from amos... once most of the campers were present, gerald started off with his little revenge to sabo another camper since he was sabo'ed 2 years ago at Xscapade 'paid'. so a couple of ppl had to come up to play the game [explanation will take an essay]. and MARK was called up together with a bunch of other ppl. haha that started the beginning of a eventful camp for mark, as almost every day he was arrowed to come before the restof the campers.. haha so suay. okay so the MASS DANCE was introduced.. 'ONE WAY' by hillsongs was the theme for elpizo hope. games came next.. quite fun.. gave me a few ideas for troop camp that's due 4 days from now.

day 2 was sentosa.. everyone had to make their way to the island by their own means. Crunchie, my team, decided to take bus 30 while the rest took MRT. unexpectedly we arrived earlier. ate BK while waiting for the rest. round island game at sentosa was quite fun.. but time constraint disallowed all checkpoints to be completed. so everyone headed straigth to siloso for the beach games.. all the while, everything was damn fun.. fun amid all the screw ups that didn't seem to bother anyone at all! [something wilbeng should learn] so beach games started.. and Crunchie won all our games except one against Cadbury [yes team names were after chocolates - how cool] after everything, i had to rush to j8, get changed, and head to HQ to joing the CCA hike meeting, how sian. afterwhich went back home to shower and then took a cab back to church at 1.30 am. played abit of murderer, then went to sleep.

day 3 was the food hunt.. damn fun.. had 5 bucks but only spent 1 plus. not bad.. coz we ended up begging for the food or eating left overs. and one auntie was dame kind.. gave us a free cup of soya milk.. a lot of other hawkers gave us sasame seed, sliced potatoes.. then came night games which supposed to be a surprise. the camp committee and game masters all turned fierce and strict, in the attempt to teach us the value of endurance, and trusting in god. i must say it was really a great way, in the end, everyone was not discouraged by the physical and mental tiredness, but emerged stronger and with pride. everyone had a joyous time. i was really proud of the way Crunchie got together and cheered each other during the push-up station. every single on of us gave all we got to both cheer and do the push-ups. no one gave up, and gave every ounce of energy they had. only then could we complete 350 considering we had only 6 of us, that averages out as 60 per person. after that was supper.. where john went around testing his tooth pick tricks on fellow campers..

day 4 was the skits and MTVs.. which were extremely hilarious.. hippo-amos with his big orbs, andy with powerpuff girls and their 'shopping.. spa.. slimming', ALBERT with his TARZEN MTV which totally rocked the entire audience, mark with his funny hat.. good things just continue coming.. next was MEGAPRAISE. the camp's no.1 highlight.. there was jumping.. there was raising of hands, hearts crying out, people dancing, voices lifted.. it was just such a magical night..

then Andy, came forward to speak. what he spoke off was extremely apt to everyone especially me. he was a God send, it was God saying. Andy spoke of commitment, how it was so important in a christian life. we have to be reponsible taking charge of our christian life. that equates into putting God first in everything. the commitment to God is a divine one, one that is more important than any other commitments. because in the end of the day [when Jesus comes again] it will that commitment that matters most. not the commitments to the world. this message came promptly as my quiet time was on the rocks - done 2 to 3 times a week, and when at it, i find it really hard to focus and let God speak. Andy then called upon the campers to kneel down as a act of faith to commit ourselves to God. everyone did, and everyone was prayed for. the person who prayed for me, i really do not know his name [but he knows my older brothers], but what he said was equally appropriate. his voice, filled with confidence, prayed that God would give me the strength to walk the journey of commitment in Christ. and not be waivered by peers, even through their ridicule and persecution.

for Matthew 5:10 says "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "

it has been already written in the Bible centuries ago, it has already been said, that being a christian won't be easy. as the world heads towards destruction, as foretold in Luke 21:10 which says 'Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom'

its 1am now.. shall do quiet time.. b4 sleeping..

alright.. since the appointment.. i have lost my name.. i am no longer jeremy.. the swine thinks its extremely hilarious to address me by TL.. [one of his cold antics]
its a revelation.. i'm cutting down on vulgarities!! whaha.. so proud.. i only said 11 vulgarities last sat.. that's like an ocean's improvement. and today i said none [actually that's coz its sunday and there's nothing that irritates me into saying one]

j-wei blogged that i was super guai lan last sat.. but u guys have to realise why i was so pissed.. everbody's just contented at waiting around.. thinking that just waiting there and doing nothing... something, by some miracle, will suddenly move, will make progress. but obviously that's not the way things work. u want something to happen, u have to do something first. to obtain a reaction, an action has to be the input. or else everyone can just wait the entire year and nothing will ever happen. that's what happened on sat. it was pioneering, tan daryl was incharge [no choice, i was at camp, and yet again all the rest couldn't be bothered]. and as expected i came to the den and saw him still planning.. poles not found. landed up spending 2 hours finding poles. the process could all been faster if only daryl had planned earlier.. and everyone didn't just take their own time. all but a few sec3s looked as if they weren't there to take the test at all.. talking cock and not instructing, let alone helping. i knoe i may be the tl, but we're taking the test as sec3s, everyone should have some sense of accountability that its their project, and not just be content at being a donkey. in the end, one must ask, are you in the team? or just supporting it? so do u deserve to pass?

so the project continued.. daryl was supposed to take the lead, but apparently he had no idea how to. he was content at giving instructions like.. 'put this there, place that here'. he ignored the fact that measurements and accuracy are extremely important for any pioneering project, especially when its a bridge. daryl knew which poles we needed, he also knew the design. but he missed out the most important, how to execute. which came first, what to do do next. he was listless. landed up, we had to spend time during execution to think of how to continue. taking the example of the platform. questioning him how to attach it to the bridge, even though i had a way to do so. as usual he started of by saying 'i know' without a second thought of my question. 'so how?' was my next question. fumble fumble fumble.. he started speaking in a different language, contradicting himself.. finally throwing back a question, 'jeremy, u dunno izzit'. blah that was so besides the point.

in the end, i had to lead the execution.. partly coz daryl was too listless, and the rest couldn't be bothered to look at the plans to know what to do.

alright so the final product was completed at 7pm.. 4 hours behind schedule. everyone had been working for 11 hours minus lunch. then after a few snapshots, we had to bring it down. and yet again daryl acted like a cock again.. but you readers shall be too bored to read through all of it again.. by the time we left the school it was 10.. and reached home at 11.40 after dinner.

okay.. so this marks the end of this boring post :pPpPpPp

golden monkey, alien boy, bextor and the lot; one bunch of midgets in that camp. which in wilbeng's name will nv ever materialize. high expenditure, sloppy campsite, lousy campers, etc.

dammit kena burnt like hell. rather painful. all in all, it was some slack camp.. played frisbie and soccer most of the time, and keep buying drinks. but pasir ris was very open, hence the burns on our necks, arms and legs. the cadet troop we helped out in was extremely easy with money. imagine they bought 10+ new silva compasses costing 22+ bucks each just for a simple orienteering exercise? bought groundsheets that cost $2, for $15?! they even bought enough lunch for us to choose between 3 different flavours, and more drinks and drinks for us. they have like lavish snacks and suppers for the cadets.

then there was this little girl.. which one paedophile instructor got a liking for.. sheesh then made her cry during the last activity.. how cruel. haha but must admit she's quite hip for a primary school brownie.

quite fun la.. all the instructors heck care.. except me, last meal decided to screw around with them.. then started to shout at them.. haiz.. they were just too selfish and irritating.. haha
