damn the school admin.. they have their hidden agenda which totally contradicts the basis of education. we are a bloody autonomous school, we are funded by the government. why the hell is apc running vs like some company. focused on distinction rates, pass rates and stuff that 'make' the school 'image' look better.. to the point of forfeiting students the chance; a shot at attaining a higher level of education. school policies - they call it. brainwashing they claim not to be. oh so they have our interest at heart - or so they say. nice try; try harder..

they are basically trying to force all locals to drop higher chinese.. leaving the PRC scholars to get the distinctions, and then apc can dance about claming that VS has a hcl distinction rate of 100%... oh wow. lol obviously, apc's picking up tips from ACSi - where everyone was kicked leaving 16 elite students who attained all distinctions. screw u, stupid rafflesian.. which blardie principal drives some MPV and a tuscani?

results came out at monday, and as most ppl knoe, i got a 3(M). the next lesson 2 HODs and chew hwa soon, took turns psyching us into dropping higher chinese. highly encouring ppl like me who got b3 and below to take the express stream.. erm no way. they make it seem certain that our future in hcl was doomed, and that even a pass was highly impossible. saying that we should focus on our other subjects, and take the chinese Os again, in hope that we might attain an A1 - and pull up our L1R5.

so they paint out the situation where we fail our hcl and get an E8.. while our chinese get a B3. they question us whether we would like to see an E8 and B3 on our report cards or attain straight A1s. and they claim that when applying for scholarships and jobs, the presence of such awful looking grades would put us a foot lower than others with straight A1s. funny, how many of my peers actually believed them in this area, and were starting to change their opinion of staying.. seriously i believe everyone should first of all know what they want, find their direction - then work towards it. u can listen to opinions of teachers, friends and parents, but eventually its ur own life; u choose what u want, according to what u think is best. which of course requires a certain level of maturity.

and hello, for scholarships, institutes and associations can't give a shit abt ur O level results. they only care abt ur SAT scores and ur A levels. who (@#* cares wth u got for ur O levels. even more nonsensical is job applications. they only bother abt ur honours degree, and at most ur A levels. so basically, ur O level results will only help u enter a good jc - the top 5 jCs.. and apparently they can't give a shit how many A1s u got, they bother abt ur L1R5. so yes, choose to drop or not to according to which ever is beneficial to ur L1R5. not what ever hell raised by the HODs - which are nothing but reasons cocked up to trick the ill-informed, and thus achieving their hidden motive.

so by that why the hell should i drop. so what if i get an A1 for chinese, it doesn't bloody give me any advantage. unless u tell me it can replace my humanities or my english which still filters between the A1 to A2 range - if so, i would gladly be the first to hand in the form, indicating my desire to take the express stream. but no, chinese can only be used as one of the extra 2 R5s. which are already more than adequately filled up by my sciences and maths..

so apc, school admin, HODs.. dun mess with me.
